CodePink Africa is an annual virtual fellowship program designed to empower African women between the ages of 18 and 30 with tech skills to increase female representation in the technology sector. The program is open to women across all African countries and aims to equip them with industry-relevant expertise through structured training, mentorship, and hands-on projects.
For the 2025 cohort, CodePink Africa offers training in the following areas:
1. AI Mastery
2. Cybersecurity
3. Data Analytics
4. Data Science & Machine Learning
5. DevOps and Cloud Computing
6. Graphics Design
7. Mobile App Development
8. Product Management
9. Software Engineering
10. UI/UX Design.
1. Training Phase (6 Months: July - December 2025):
Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive,
instructor-led virtual training journey in their chosen track.
Our structured program combines live sessions, engaging assignments,
and practical projects to ensure a well-rounded learning experience.
Through interactive live sessions, you'll receive guidance from
experienced instructors and have the opportunity to ask questions
and clarify doubts.
To reinforce theoretical knowledge, you'll work on real-world case
studies and projects that simulate actual industry scenarios.
This hands-on approach will enable you to apply your skills and
knowledge in a practical context, developing the expertise and
confidence needed to excel in your chosen field. By the end of the
program, you'll have a portfolio of projects that demonstrate your
skills and accomplishments.
2. Mentorship Phase (3 Months: Runs concurrently with the training phase. August - October 2025):
This is an integral part of the CodePink Africa fellowship.
Successful candidates will be paired with experienced professionals
who will provide personalized guidance, feedback, and support throughout
your journey. You'll gain access to exclusive resources, industry insights,
and networking opportunities to expand your professional network.
Through regular one-on-one check-ins, group mentorship sessions,
and opportunities for job shadowing and project collaboration,
our mentors will help you set and achieve your career goals.
Our mentors are passionate about giving back to the community
and are committed to helping you launch a successful career in tech.
By combining our tech training fellowship with this mentorship program,
we're dedicated to helping you succeed in the tech industry.
3. Internship Phase (3 Months: January - March 2026):
After completing the training and mentorship phases,
fellows will have the opportunity to apply their skills in a real-world setting through an internship program.
This phase is designed to provide practical experience and exposure to the tech industry.
Interns will work with partner organizations on real-world projects,
gaining valuable insights into the industry and building their professional network.
Successful candidates will collaborate with experienced professionals,
and apply the skills you've learned in our training program.
Through this internship, you'll gain practical experience in your
chosen tech field, exposure to industry trends and best practices,
and valuable networking opportunities. You'll also enhance your
portfolio and resume, and potentially land job opportunities with
our partner organizations.
To be eligible for the CodePink Africa fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Tuition-free training in high-demand tech fields.
2. Access to mentors and experts in the tech industry.
3. Hands-on experience through real-world projects and internships
with partner organizations.
4. Connect with a vibrant community of professionals, peers from diverse
backgrounds, industry experts and thought leaders, CodePink Africa alumni who
have gone on to achieve great things.
5. A certificate of completion upon successful completion of the program.
6. Access to job placement assistance and career development resources.

2. Submit all the required information.
3. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a selection process, which may include an assessment
or interview.
4. Selected fellows will receive an official acceptance email with onboarding details.
